At other dentists’ offices in Burley, Rupert, Heyburn, Hansen, and southern Idaho, it takes at least two appointments to get a dental crown. At Seasons Dental, Drs. Chad Bodily and Ty Bodily really can make your crown in just one day. In fact, all it takes is a single visit for us to restore your broken, decayed, and damaged tooth with a beautiful and strong crown.
Our team practices “same-day dentistry.” This means we have invested in advanced technologies that enable us to prepare, plan, design, fabricate, secure, and adjust your crown all within the same visit. This process would normally require at least two visits, because other dentists use an outside lab to make the crown. We have effectively established our own lab on-site. With our sophisticated, computerized CEREC technologies, we can handle each step in the process – including the actual fabrication of your crown.
We challenge anyone to find a more durable, stronger, and natural-looking crown. By keeping everything “in house,” we can control the quality of the final product. We have invested in only the finest materials and strongest dental adhesives. The crown is precisely milled from a high-performance dental ceramic. The porcelain that we use can also be shade-matched to look exactly like the other, healthy teeth in your smile. Our quality bonding agents and techniques also support the strongest attachment between the porcelain and your natural tooth. We make crowns that are built to last.
No! Much of what makes this process so attractive to patients is what is missing from it – and that includes the use of temporary crowns. Since we can create your crown in just 15 to 20 minutes, there is no need for a temporary one. You will be provided with your permanent crown as soon as possible, and shortly after we “prepare” the tooth and take digital scans, which are used with CEREC software to design your new crown.
You can benefit from our full suite of digital technologies at our office. These technologies have eliminated or minimized the use of many undesirable conventional techniques and products. Our patients appreciate that with CEREC, same-day dental crowns, they no longer have to bite down uncomfortably on a messy, goopy, and foul-tasting material to take impressions. We can comfortably scan your entire mouth in just seconds. This process also helps to eliminate much of the human error associated with manual impression-taking. Your crown is made right the first time, and should any refinements be required, we can complete those in-house during the same appointment and without the wait associated with the crown process at other dental practices.
We preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible. Our dentists focus on removing only those damaged parts of the tooth. We must also slightly reduce the size of the tooth. Therefore, the crown can fit perfectly on top of the remaining tooth structure. We ensure your utmost comfort at every step in the process. Your tooth will be numbed with a local anesthetic. While you might feel slight pressure, you should not feel any discomfort whatsoever. Additionally, we offer sedation dentistry for patients who have not visited the dentist in a while and are anxious about treatment. We offer a range of relaxing options tailored to your specific needs and preferences.
Our CEREC crowns are designed to be strong and durable. However, there are steps you can take to ensure the long, healthy life of your treated tooth. Notably, it’s essential to avoid any behaviors or habits that may have contributed to your tooth becoming damaged in the first place. If your tooth was badly decayed, we will work with you on your brushing and flossing technique. We may recommend products and in-house preventive services to help you with your home care. If your tooth fractured as a result of chronic, untreated teeth grinding, we can customize a nightguard to protect your crown and natural teeth and tissues. We also create custom-fit sports mouthguards for individuals who may have injured their teeth while playing sports, or for patients who are at risk of future sports-related dental injuries.
We won’t know until after your troublesome tooth is examined at Seasons Dental in Burley, ID. Depending on the nature and extent of the damage to your tooth, our dentists may be able to restore it to healthy function and a nice appearance with more conservative measures, such as a tooth-colored filling. Or, for more extensive damage, we may need to preserve your tooth with root canal therapy (followed by a dental crown). Serving Rupert, Heyburn, Hansen, and Paul, ID, and the surrounding area, our team can be reached at (208) 430-9555 for more information and to schedule your appointment.
